We are dedicated to reducing or eliminating pain, whether that pain be from arthritis, surgery, cancer, injury, anxiety, or depression. There are many ways of alleviating pain both at home as well as through therapy. Dr. Ava Frick can help you find the right treatment for you and your pet! Common signs of pain in dogs and cats:
- Decreased social interaction or activity
- Slow to rise, stiff posture/gait
- Appetite picky, decreased, or absent
- Bites or attempts to bite caregiver
- Whimpers, howls, growls / hissing, spitting
- Head hangs down, weak tail wag, flicking in cats
- Guarding behavior
- Refusal to move, hiding
- Change in facial expressions
- Muscle twitching or avoiding touch
- Urinates or defecates and makes no attempt to move
